Executive Director Delivers Letter of Condolence to Embassy of India’s Ambassador
WASHINGTON, D.C. (MASNET) Dec. 1, 2008 – MAS Freedom (MASF), as the civic and human rights advocacy entity of the Muslim American Society (MAS), joins with other Muslim, interfaith, peace, human rights and pro-justice organizations throughout the international community in expressing, in the strongest terms, our condemnation of the terrorist bombings in Mumbai, India.
“Acts such as these serve as prime examples of actions MAS Freedom unequivocally abhors and rejects. MAS Freedom categorically condemns any act of violence, if that act harms any innocent civilians or noncombatants. MAS Freedom does not tolerate any exception to this essential premise,” stated MAS Freedom Executive Director, Mahdi Bray.
Bray added, “We are deeply saddened and outraged by these events, and we assure you that the tenets of our faith do not condone these cruel and inhumane actions.”
MAS Freedom also expressed its condolences to the people of India through a letter sent to India’s Ambassador, His Excellency Ronen Sen, on Friday, November 28, 2008 (below).

Dear Ambassador Sen,
I write to you on behalf of MAS Freedom and the Muslim American Society to express both our outrage and sorrow for the terror attack and the tragic loss of life experienced by the people of Mumbai. These vile acts were an assault not only on the people of Mumbai, but on the values that all civilized nations hold dear.
We join with the all the people of the United States, and the world, in condemning this barbaric assault on innocent people. Our prayers and condolences go to the people of Mumbai, and to all the people of India.
